How to use a comb binding machine
1. Choose your comb size. The size of the comb depends on the number of pages you will staple. Check your comb packaging to determine the comb size that fits your project. You can also use the integrated document measurement guide on the Felowes binder to determine the size of the comb.
2. Select the bound cover. You will need a front and back cover. Choose from a variety of Felowes cover styles to find the cover style that best fits your project.
3. Make sure to push the binding lever backwards.
4. Insert the binding comb into the binding teeth, making sure that the back of the comb is facing you and the unconnected comb is facing up.
5. Pull the staple bar forward to open the comb teeth.
6. Align your front and back covers to make holes first. Use the edge guides to set up letters or oversized pages.
7. Punching the front cover and back cover.
8. Place the front cover on the open comb. Align the hole of the punched front cover with the open fork.
9. Repeat the process for your document, punch the paper and add it to the open comb
10. After punching the document, slide the back cover onto the comb, reverse the lever and close the comb teeth.
