Wire diameter: 0.7mm-2.0mm
Final strength: Annealed or drawn, tensile strength between 300 N/mm² and 1400 N/mm², depending on diameter and steel grade
The final surface characteristics are defined by you: finish, copper plating, or electrolytic galvanization.
Collectively referred to as mechanical binding, spiral binding and coil binding. Spiral knitting has many advantages in size, color and finish.
High quality spiral ties must follow a strict set of quality standards. Good wire helix must have uniform tensile strength and high quality coating to form continuous wire helix pitch. Having a hard wire will cause the wire to not form correctly, causing downtime and clogging of the screw binding device. High strength wires can also wear out parts prematurely. The wire is soft and not a high enough stretch will normal the coil correctly, but the flexible coil is compromised when transporting. Wires can be oval and easily deformed.
Spiral binding silk finishing is also very important. Having a clean friction reduction finish will extend the life of your parts and coils more easily at higher forming speeds.
We usually apply galvanized layers of PET, nylon, tin and zinc. Spirals are available in a variety of colors, sizes and coatings to maximize appearance, prevent corrosion and reduce friction on tools during molding.
