Every YPS custom notebook is built from six decisions. As a custom spiral notebook manufacturer with our own coil workshop, we produce each component in-house - so wholesale and private-label orders keep the same hand-finished quality as our own collection.

The cover is the first thing your customer judges. We build hardcover and softcover notebooks on board and wraps chosen to hold their shape and resist scratches, then finish them with your logo in foil, emboss or full-colour print.

Paper is where a premium notebook proves itself. Our writing paper is smooth, lint-free and tested with fountain pens for bleed-through. Pages can be printed edge to edge in full colour with eco-friendly, low-odour inks - ideal for planners, journals and branded notebooks.

Spiral and Wire-O Binding, Colour-Matched
Binding coils are YPS's original trade. Because we make our own plastic spiral coil and wire-o, the spine of your spiral notebook can be matched to a Pantone reference or your cover artwork - including electroplated gold and rose-gold wire-o for premium journals.

Notebook Sizes and Formats
Standard ISO sizes are the most efficient for bulk custom notebooks; custom sizes can be quoted for special formats. The same construction works across spiral notebooks, planners, sketchbooks and notepads.

Fountain Pen and Bleed Tests
Writing paper is tested with fountain pens for bleed-through and feathering. Pages are checked for clean cuts and paper dust.
Covers & binding
Scratch and Binding Checks
Cover finishes are checked for scuff resistance; coil pitch, hole alignment and lay-flat are checked on every run.

Custom Binding Coils and Wire-O
We also produce binding coils to specification for printers, binderies, distributors and notebook manufacturers. Colours are matched to your Pantone or sample, and colour recipes and tooling are stored so reorders match the approved sample.

Custom Notebook FAQs
What is the minimum order for custom notebooks?
It depends on the level of customization. Adding a logo to a ready-made notebook has the lowest minimum; semi-custom and fully custom notebooks are quoted per design. Send your quantity and we will confirm the MOQ in the quotation.
Can I get a sample before placing an order?
Yes. Pre-production samples are available and usually sent within 3–7 working days. Samples of our ready-made notebooks are also available.
How long does production take?
Typical production takes 15–25 days after sample approval, depending on quantity and finishing. Shipping time depends on the destination and method.
Can the coil colour match my cover design?
Yes. We make our own plastic and metal coils and can match them to a Pantone reference or a physical sample. Electroplated gold and rose-gold wire-o is also available.
Is the paper suitable for fountain pens?
Our writing paper is selected and tested for fountain pens to prevent bleed-through and feathering. Heavier sketch paper is available for sketchbooks.
Are you a notebook factory or a trading company?
YPS is a manufacturer. Notebooks and binding coils are produced in our own workshop in Dongguan, China, so specifications, quality checks and lead times are managed directly. See our manufacturing capacity.
Do you offer wholesale pricing for bulk custom notebooks?
Yes. Pricing is quoted per project and improves with volume. Tell us your quantity per design and we will include tiered pricing in the quotation.
Do you help with design?
Yes. If you have a logo or reference images, we can prepare the layout and send a proof for approval. Print-ready files follow the artwork guidelines above.
Can you supply binding coils only?
Yes. We supply spiral binding coils, wire-o and calendar hangers to printers and manufacturers, including custom colours and private-label packing.
