How to use Wire Binding Machines

1.Lift the lid up to go from stowaway to operational

2. Begin with the covers. Put the left side (the bind side) into the throat of the machine 

3. Adjust the side margin control knob to the size paper you are using so that all pages will be consistent throughout your project 

4. Punch down. If you are satisfied with the results, continue punching the rest of the pages in your project 

5. For binding, assemble the pages of your project in order and select the right wire binding for your book 

6. Use the storage tray and wire measurement tool to store and measure your combs 

7. Place the wire loops over the fence in the back 

8. A little trick in binding: flip the front cover around so that it faces the front cover. This way the seam in the end will be hidden by the back cover and the back pages 

9. Thread your book over the teeth of the wire bind, right through every hole 

10. Twist the spine around so that the open binding faces down into the wire closer 

11. Use the lever to close the closer. Press down just as far as you need. 

 12. Remove your project and you’re done!
