How to binding a book?
1. Set up the packager. If equipped, adjust margin depth, guides, and die as needed.
2. Assemble the book to be bound. This includes the front and back covers.
3. Select the first book to punch. This depends on the maximum number of sheets that the stapler can punch at one time. Please note that devices with the maximum number of punches may wear the device at a rate that exceeds 80% of the maximum number of punches at a time.
4. Punch the paper. Place each stack of paper aside while punching. Make sure the punched documents are in the correct order. Depending on the coil binder used, you can drill holes by pulling the handle or pressing the button.
5. Remove the punch paper and push it a little to make sure that the holes are aligned correctly.
6. Now rotate the coil binding element through the first 3-4 holes. Next, rotate the coil through the remaining holes with the coil inserter. This is done manually on some computers. Make sure that at least ¼ inch of the coil protrudes from the ends of the book.
7. Use a set of coil crimping pliers to secure the extra coil to both ends of the machine. This not only removes the extra coil, but also prevents the coil from coming out of the hole.
8. Now that one book has been bound, you are ready to move on to the next book to be bound.
