Double coil is also called Yo coil?
YO coils are often called double coils, also known as YO loops ("Wire-O-Binding" in English). Double coils are two strands of steel coil with preset dimensions and specifications. Common materials are divided into sprayed steel rims and plastic coils.
Generally, round or square holes are formed on the left or top of the print. After passing through the YO double coil and pressing and fixing the YO ring binding machine, the whole binding process is completed.
When selecting a coil, attention must be paid to its quality. Because the electroplated plastic layer on the surface is not strong enough, some coils can cause cracks during the binding process. If the coil is too thin, there may be problems such as unstable bonding. Once the coil is locked, pages cannot be added unless the coil is removed. The cost of double-coil binding is higher than the cost of single-coil binding. Of course, the bonding effect is better and longer lasting. With a two-coil bound book, you can completely flatten any page while reading, making it easy to read and search. Books up to 30 mm thick, such as reference books, technical manuals, recipes (recipes), are best suited for this type of binding.
